What Is a Silicone Pull Plug?
A silicone pull plug is a masking plug with a specially designed pull-tab head that allows for quick, damage-free removal after curing. Unlike tapered plugs that need to be pried out, pull plugs are simply gripped and pulled — no prying, no tools, no damage to the plug or the part.
Unlike tapered plugs (removed by prying) or thread plugs (removed by twisting), pull plugs are designed for removal speed. They're ideal for through-holes because they protect both sides in one step — and the pull tab makes removal fast even in deep or blind holes.
